These views were expressed by the Lahore Chamber President Irfan Iqbal Sheikh, Senior Vice President Ali Hassam Asghar and Vice President Mian Zahid Javed Ahmed at a meeting with the delegation of various markets and industrial and trade associations in the Lahore Chamber. Textile Traders Association led by Zeeshan Khalil, Shah Alam Central Board headed by Khawaja Aamir, Ganpat Road Traders Association, Mujahid Maqsood Butt and Anjum Qamarshi Anjamin Qajarishjad under the leadership of Khyber Saeed Butt. A delegation of Pakistan Engineering Council, chaired by the President, met and informed about their problems and suggestions. Businesses cannot develop in the presence of complex tax systems, double taxation, high productivity costs, lack of infrastructure in the markets and the worst traffic jams, solving these problems for both businessmen and the government alike, the LCCI officials said. Will be Irfan Iqbal Sheikh, Ali Hassam Asghar and Mian Zahid Javed Ahmed said that it was a good pleasure for Prime Minister Imran Khan, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa and the Supreme Court of Pakistan to discuss the issues of businessmen. Traders will start getting relief. He said that reforms in consultation with the business community are essential in the tax system. By simplifying the tax system, traders can facilitate and expand the tax net. He said that instead of direct action to distinguish between the filer and the non-filer, market associations should be contacted which would lead to a confidence building between the traders and the FBR. He also emphasized the need to build parking plazas in different parts of the city to tackle traffic problems. Members of the delegation praised the Lahore Chamber for taking interest in solving business problems and taking an active role.
